Our (and Your) Value Proposition

You generate electric power on-site. 100% of the value of energy produced is retained by you. No transmission, access, and taxes and other fees such as incurred when you buy electricity from your utility.  You still will need your utility for most of your power, so they are typically OK with this – and foresighted utilities see the value in adding distributed capacity at the ends of their lines, helping them avoid new generation investments as power needs grow or older plants are taken out of service.

For example, in the Midwest power generally has a retail cost of nearly $0.10/kwh.  Generating electricity on-site offsets the purchase price of that power from the utility.  In some states, you can get credit for your power production that might get exported to the grid if your turbine is producing more power than you need at the moment – this is called net-metering.  Net-metering basically runs your meter in reverse (but not to the point where the results would be less than zero).
